Many labs are turning to solid phase extraction techniques to improve sample clean-up and pre-analytical processing for mass spectrometry. Tecan is partnering with its customers to develop automation solutions that can achieve efficient MS sample prep workflows for a variety of clinically important analytes and extraction methodologies.

The use of positive pressure gas for SPE maximizes process reproducibility and uniformity across columns and plate wells, with individual channel flow restriction guaranteeing robust processing of partly filled plates or column set-ups. Manually adjustable or programmable pressure settings allow optimization of flow rates, reducing processing times and enhancing analytical performance.

Uniformity of flow

Individual flow restrictors ensure that even partly filled plates or tube racks can be processed reliably and with minimal variation.

Positive pressure processing

Pressure adjustment enables a smooth and immediate column flow response to be achieved. An intuitive flow toggle allows the user to switch between the low setting – for precise flow control of liquid samples – and a high setting for drying the sorbent bed.

Simplicity in operation

The Resolvex M10 is simple and convenient to operate. It automatically adjusts to accommodate different plate heights, and can be controlled intuitively, without the need for extensive training.

Automated liquid dispenser

Accurate delivery of up to 11 protocol solvents allows unattended SPE workflows. The Resolvex A200 uses the proven Cavro® syringe pump technology to accurately dispense solvents ranging from deionized water to hexane.
